2012 GALA DINNER

With a backdrop overlooking Sydney Harbour, the NSW Swifts gathered with family, friends and supporters to celebrate season 2012 in style at the picturesque Opera Point Marquee on Friday 27 July, 2012.

Three player awards were presented as we looked back over the season, in which the Swifts narrowly missed the Finals Series with a one-point loss to Preliminary finalists Northern Mystics; the QBE Most Valued Player, Players’ Player and Members’ Player of the Year awards.

The most prestigious award of the night, the QBE Most Valued Player, was awarded to the vice-captain, Susan Pratley.

2012 recruit April Letton was acknowledged by her peers after being presented the Players’ Player Award, after returning to her home state after playing a singular game in 2011 for eventual premiers Queensland Firebirds.

Swifts’ co-captain Kimberlee Green went back-to-back, winning the Members Player of the Year Award for the second year in a row.
