Perfect Pratley is all class!
NSW Swifts Goal Attack, Susan Pratley, has been in impressive form during the ANZ Championship.
Her latest on-court venture against the LG Northern Mystics in Auckland last night saw her net 28 goals from 28 attempts for a 100% accuracy record; the best of any goaler on court.
Ironically, Pratley’s 100% effort was the best of any shooter in Round 10, with a further five shooters shooting in the low 90% bracket.
This was also the first time a NSW Swifts’ shooter had achieved the magic 100% milestone.
“Every shooter goes onto the court aiming for 100%. I was just lucky that the ball went off the fingers well and I felt comfortable out there. Overall I was extremely pleased with the results,” said Pratley.
In what was an intense contest, the NSW Swifts overcame an 8 goal deficit midway through the third term to take the game into extra time after scores were locked at 50 all at the end of regulation time.
The Trusts Stadium turned into a pressure cooker with the crowd throwing their support behind the home town heroes, the Northern Mystics. However, it was the NSW Swifts who held their nerve to come away with a valuable win, 63-62.
